The Witness Is Coming To Xbox One

In news that should surprise no one, Jonathan Blow’s The Witness has been rated for release on Xbox One by the ESRB. Just in case you have been asleep in cave for the last few years – which apparently loads of game journos have because this is big news – The Witness is currently only scheduled for release on PlayStation 4, PC, and mobile. Oh, and “and other platforms a bit later,” according to the official website. Hmmm, what could they be?

“Our deal with Sony is a limited-time exclusivity that applies only to competing console platforms,” said Blow back in 2013, but everyone has seemingly forgotten about that.

Anyway, The Witness is coming to Xbox sometime after it hits PlayStation, you knew about that in 2013 but pretend you didn’t and look surprised when you visit other gaming websites. Here’s a video to help you practise.

  1. Love the snark filled tone of this one Tuffcub. Completely justified!

  2. Well that’s AngryCowards preorder cancelled.

  3. not sure i’m that interested in the game from what i’ve seen of it.
the environments look pretty, but for some reason i’ve just kinda gone off puzzle games lately.

but i bloody loved that video. ^_^

    even on a fifth viewing.

  4. Apparently its they only rated Xbox One so they don’t have to resubmit it later on but at the moment there is no plans to bring it to Xbox One.
