Information regarding the first Star Wars Battlefront DLC has leaked on to the internet courtesy of EA themselves. EA Brazil to be precise, who released a video (which has now been deleted) which let the Wookie out of the satchel.
WCCFTech translated the video which stated that the gameis going to get a new Tatooine map along new outfits for Luke Skywalker and Leia Organa. This DLC will be free and not part of the Season Pass, and will be launching before the end of January.
Separately, a user on Reddit has said the video also reveals Daily Challenges, Private Matches and Special Community Events will be part of the free DLC.
It was recently revealed that developers DICE are looking in to offline modes for the game.

More and more Battlefront sounds like half of a game slowly being added to to make it the full blown ensemble it should’ve been at the start.

Yeah, it’s a shame, but when DLC is released & noted as free, you (the universal ‘you’ that is) kinda only think one of two things;
1. Aw, they must have forgotten to put that in when it released. Bless em.
or
2. They must be making amends for something that was broken on release
As mentioned, it’s a shame, but it’s happened so many times before, you can’t really help but think like that.

Yeah, that probably is the case (how dare you wade in with a sensible suggestion!?!), but what I was saying is that due to past experiences with this, you can’t help but think about the negative. Especially as Dice have actually been one to do that in the past (with both BF3 & BF4 if I recall) – Problems at launch, so DLC given away free to compensate.
It was more of a commentary on the expected quality (or lack thereof) of games on release these days really. Unfortunately with some things, you can’t help but have that expectation that all will not be well.

Free additional content is always welcome. Whether it holds my attention though is another matter as I’ve not touched the game for a couple of weeks now since I levelled out at 50.

I agree. My son loves this game and he’s made me play every offline game mode with him numerous, numerous, numerous times.

My god that is my house! It’s actually more fun especially when my two year old grab the controller off him. Closest thing to bring a Jedi/Sith for kids (and big kids).

That reminds me I haven’t touched the game since it arrived a couple of weeks back. Just want to finish TLOU DLC first, and then this is next on my list.
