WW2 FPS Battalion 1944 Is Fully Funded, Coming To Consoles And PC

We’ve been plagued with exo suits, cyber enhancements, and robot tanks in first person shooters the last few years and many have been clamouring for the more simple days of the WW2 shooter, when all you had was your wits and your gun.

Battalion 1944 is the answer, and it has been fully funded on Kickstarter in just a few days.

The game is a classic multiplayer first person shooter set in the battle locations of World War 2 with an emphasis on skill and rewards. There will be an XP system but it will only unlock cosmetic items, no player will have a skill advantage over another.

“At Bulkhead Interactive, we’ve all grown up playing classic shooters like COD2 and Medal of Honor,” said Joe Brammer, Producer at Bulkhead Interactive. “It’s been a decade since we last saw a great WW2 First Person Shooter and I think the genre’s resurgence is long overdue. We’re focusing on community driven development. We want to work with passionate community of players who have a strong connection to the genre like we do.”

The game will come to PC first as Early Access, and when polished will launch on Xbox One and PlayStation 4. You can still back the game and pick up a console key for as little as £22, click here to visit the Kickstarter page.
