Update: Well, what do you know? Almost as soon as we manage to report on the below leak via PEGI, the PlayStation Blog goes and posts an official announcemet for Smite.
The game is going into closed alpha testing today, befor a closed beta test in March, which you can express your interest in by signing up here.
The PS4 version will have a number of exclusive skins for the gods in the game, with the usual mix of freely playable gods, both permanently free and on rotation, and the use of microtransactions to unlock other gods on a permanent basis.
The original post follows.
Hi-Rez Studios’ Smite, a well received MOBA on PC And Xbox One, has been rated for the PlayStation 4 by PEGI. At least, it was, because the rating was quickly removed, probably due to frantic phone cals from Hi-Rez to PEGI about timed exclusivity on Xbox and how they aren’t allowed to say the game is coming to PS4 yet.

Hi-Rez have yet to comment on the leak, but here is a beginners guide for the Xbox One version so you can get an idea of what might be coming to PS4.

Makes sense pursuing other platforms. It’s a great MOBA and hopefully Hi Rez will bring some of its other games to console soon.
