Disney And Wargaming Pull Out Of E3

This year’s E3 is looking less exciting by the moment as, following the departure of Actvision and EA from the show floor, two more publishers have decided not to show up.

“From a company perspective, we’re focusing a large majority of activities on events focused on our players and community,” said a spokesperson from World of Tanks publishers, Wargaming. “Whether it’s a small group of players or hundreds at one of our player gatherings, they’re our main priority. From a strictly business perspective, E3 just doesn’t fit our current direction.”

Joining the exodus is Disney Interactive, they are not launching a new version of Disney Infinity this year and plan “additional direct to fan engagements through the summer this year,” rather than an E3 booth.

  1. EA dropping out was a big blow, but as long as Sony, Microsoft & Ubisoft turn up, it’ll still be massive. Skylanders and Infinity are hardly what draw the big crowds to E3.
