Traveller’s Tales struck gold with their first Lego Star Wars game, and after a long, long time hating themselves with other properties, they’re using The Force Awakens as an excuse to return to their roots.
You know to expect plenty of brick and irreverent adaptations of the source material, but The Force Awakens introduces a good few new ideas to the series, with Star Fox-like flying sections, multi-build puzzles that make builds more interesting than simply holding circle, and blaster battles that see you taking cover and shooting up a bunch of enemies.
Our preview is on the way tomorrow, but I can tell you now that these are some really nice additions to the familiar gameplay, alongside everything that has made the series’ popularity endure for so long.
Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens is out on June 28th for PS4, PS3, PS Vita, XBO, X360, Wii U, Nintendo 3DS and PC.

I’d love to get this, as long as there’s plenty of Star Wars atmosphere and the gameplay is solid Legare fare then I’m in.
