Last week a couple of images that were alleged to be the controller for the Nintendo NX appeared online and were met with intrigue and scepticism. A second set of images has now arrived from a different poster on Reddit, and you can see one them below.
The design is remarkably similar to a patent registered by Nintendo a while back with the whole of the controller face being an LCD display. Although there are two separate sources for images this could still be an annoying hoax, one person could have mocked up the device and registered multiple Reddit accounts to post from. Also, a source for Nintendo Life has said the images “aren’t legit.”
It could be real, it could be someone playing an ‘amusing’ jape. I’ll just leave this here…

That looks so ergonomically unsound it’s genuinely unbelievable in the absolute sense of the word. This simply has to be fake.

I dunno, the slim Vita is ergonomically horrible but still a wonderful little machine! Some of us are just happier with arthritis and a good console.
I was convinced by this and the other picture, but having seen last weeks white controller I’m also massively dubious. There’s no way they can make an oval screen with holes in for the sticks, the only way to make round screens cost effective is to stick them in super cars. It’s gotta be fake.

I’m leaning towards it being fake because it’s too similar to the patent-image which never looks particularly close to the actual product.
Then there’s the sticks which look 3D-printed, the silly sticker, the IR sensor and camera on the bottomn instead of the top.
And we’ve got four “leaked” pictures, but they all show it from the same angle. No view of the side, top or back. It’s suspicious.

Has to be a fake. Nintendo will do everything they can to avoid another commercial dud like the wii U.

That’s what a screen would be for. Certainly works for mobile games etc.

Yeah but that’s pretty much not gonna work for a console where your looking at a tv and can’t feel the buttons. Unless it won’t even work with a tv, but that seems doubtful.

I would say it’s fake or I hope it is anyway because of its real I’m out. Like others say no buttons and it looks uncomfortable to hold. Let’s just hope it gets debunked before or at E3.
