SHAREfactory Update Adds Green Screen, Second Track & More

Update 1.08 is set to bring a raft of new features and fixes to the PS4’s gameplay video editor, SHAREfactory. At the top of the bill we have the option to add a second track while composing and editing clips, allowing users to create a side-by-side effect for projects such as comparison videos.

Chroma-key support will also enable the use of green screen for those wanting to add commentary to their clips as well as background art and screenshots. Another feature bound to please fans is the new 60-minute export time, resulting in longer length videos – ideal for gameplay walkthroughs.

Other revisions include:

  • Text layers can now rotate.
  • 2 new music tracks.
  • 15 new filter effects.
  • Video Commentary clips are now saved to the Capture Gallery for easier access and reuse in multiple projects.
  • Trim Lock feature making it easier to trim clips while not altering the overall length of your project.

  1. That’s a pretty decent update and will make the PS4 a one-stop-shop for any budding PS4 youtubers.

    • Great news. Enjoyed using this for short GTA clips of pure nonsense. Must play a bit more of that (online with friends) soon.
