Atlus and Sega have just decided a lot of Persona fans’ Valentine’s Day plans for next year, with the announcement of a North American release on 14th February 2017 for Persona 5, which is coming to both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3.
Sadly, there’s no news of a European release date, though it may be that this takes longer to go through localisation for the several different languages beyond English. The Japanese release is, of course, first, and set for September 15th.
That date’s no accident, and they’re going all out with a “Take Your Heart” Premium Edition that features a 64-page art book of Persona 5 artwork, a 4 inch plush Morgana figurine, soundtrack CD, steelbook case, school bag and a collectible outer box for all of this to arrive in. That will set you back $89.99 USD, or $109.99 if your dollars are of the Canadian flavour.
That steelbook case can also be found as part of a launch edition that’s at the game’s standard retail price of $59.99/CA$79.99. However, both of these special editions are exclusively for the PS4 version of the game, while the PS3 version that will release at the same time is only available in a standard box and will retail slightly cheaper at $49.99/CA$69.99.
Fingers crossed for European Persona fans that we get more news on an EU release soon.
