Legendary Pictures Looking To Make The Pokémon Go Movie

Deadline have heard rumours that Legendary Pictures are in negotiations with Nintendo to make a movie based on the current craze blocking up everyone’s social media feeds, Pokémon Go.

Legendary have been linked to a Pokémovie in the past with Chronicle writer Max Landis flaunted as the script writer, and with the success of Go the studio is once again pursuing Pikachu and chums. Unlike previous Pokémon movies this will be a live action film, presumably with CGI’d Bulbasaurs.

Legendary have had success with videogame-to-movie adaptions, well, success in China at least, where the Warcraft movie was a storming success.

  1. So, it’ll be a movie about a bunch of people looking for Pokémon using their ipads and phones? Erm… kinda a crap idea, guys. Needs action, drugs, violence, sex. Basically, Micheal Bay it.

  2. To development hell for ten years!
