7 Days To Die Update 1.03 Fixes Loads Of Problems

7 Days To Die had numerous bugs and glitches when it was released on consoles, perhaps understandably so as the game is still in early access on Steam. It has now been updated to version 1.03 which should squash a load of pesky bugs on PS4 and Xbox One so here are the notes.

Bye the way, if you want to read our review you can find it here.

* Optimized texture packaging to increase available memory

Sound Issues and Improvements

* Fixed an issue where audio would loop when using certain weapons (e.g. Auger, Chainsaw, AK47, Submachine Gun)

* Fixed an issue with rain SFX playing more loudly in some biomes than others
* Fixed an issue where ambient rain sounds would play on the main menu after quitting a game

Gameplay Issues and Improvements

* Fixed an issue where the player could scroll outside of the map’s borders in the menu

  1. The lighting and shader improvements are noticable, colours look a little more vibrant now. It also fixed the everyday hordes i was experiencing after day 49 so that’s good. I’ve only ever had the game crash on me once and the autosave meant i only lost about 5 seconds of progress. Hopefully the above fixes help those who were experiencing more widespread issues.

The big update will be alpha 15, which hasn’t released on PC yet but is set to bring some cool updates, new zombies and distant terrain rendering.
