2K Block Streaming Of Bioshock: The Collection

For reasons that have not been explained, 2K have blocked players from streaming their gameplay from the three titles in the Bioshock: The Collection on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Sometimes a publisher will block streaming until launch day, but 2K don’t seem to be too bothered about letting gamers show their skills.

This is the post on the 2K help forum.

If you’re playing BioShock: The Collection, there’s a good chance you’d like to stream your adventures in Rapture and/or Columbia.

Unfortunately, streaming BioShock: The Collection isn’t an option right now.

We will update this article should this situation change.

The Bioshock: The Collection is out today.

  1. Weird. It’s not as if this would help prevent BioShock spoilers.

  2. This is usually done because of spoilers but erm…. it’s kinda hard not to know the spoilers of all the games. It’s like telling people not to pay attention to any Star Wars parodies. They have spoilers and it’s past the decent spoiler period. Either this means the remasters are shoddy and they know it or they don’t want people streaming it despite the fact it could get more sales out of it.

P.S. Publishers, streamers and let’s players can help sales.

  3. I’m guessing licensing issues with the music.

  4. Argh. This is starting to become a thing. All the project diva games refuse streaming audio too and its so annoying as you cant show people what a good experience the game is.
