Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare’s Jackal Assault VR Mission Will Be Free For All PS4 Owners

Activision has announced that it will making Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare’s Jackal Assault VR mission will be available as a free download from November 4th for all PS4 owners, though it will obviously require PSVR to play it. Players will pilot a Jackal fighter jet. The content will be approximately 1.5GB. Originally the VR mission was going to be a freebie for those who purchased Infinite Warfare.

We could be witnessing the first step of the Call of Duty series embracing VR, though that will depend on just how well received Jackal Assault. Maybe future titles will have VR counterparts too.

  1. I was considering buying this one for the VR mission. Guess I don’t have to do that now. Yay!

  2. Haha literally the only reason i was thinking of maaaybe picking this up was for the vr.

  3. Sony should make it mandatory that each game from now on should have some sort of VR component! Would help support PSVR.

    • Well, many games already doing that. Deus Ex or Tomb Raider, for example. Or upcoming Final Fantasy

      • I know, which is a good thing, but if every game had some sort of VR mission or experience as mandatory, I think that would help the VR with continued content.

      • I disagree. If VR was made into a mandatory thing, Developers would most likely go “Oh ffs, really? We have to do that? FINE! Here’s your VR mission!” and shove out gimmicky stuff that is easy to develop without taking up much time.

  4. I’ll grab this and take a look…! Now, if they could just let us buy COD4 without COD:IW…

  5. I’m guessing this is more to do with IW’s low preorders due to the whole mess with the MW remaster and an attempt at trying to make IW more appealing to those who have VR.

Suspect there will be a ballion Michael Bay explosions, ‘Merica and other stuff thrown in.

What? I’m in one of those funny moods today.
