Good news! Wipeout is finally coming to PlayStation 4! Bad news! It’s all the old games! Wipeout HD, Fury, and 2048 (the PlayStation Vita game) will all be coming to PlayStation 4 packaged up as The Omega Collection.

Bad news? As long they look, feel and move like Wipeout who cares if they’re remasters. No other game has managed to capture that future-hover-racing feel like the Wipeout series.

Wipeout HD will be a remaster of a remaster (Wipeout HD on PS3 was the two PSP games Wipeout Pure and Wipeout Pulse remastered for PS3).
Wipeout Fury was the expansion for Wipeout HD and Wipeout 2048 was great on the Vita (also had the Wipeout HD & Fury tracks as DLC on that, meaning the Omega Collection is simply 2048 and its DLC brought to the PS4 from the Vita).

Underwhelming to say the least. Would have been great to have Wipeout in 4K HDR with current gen graphics, but we all know that would be too much to deliver.

Awesome news, probably the best we could hope for how that Studio Liverpool has been disbanded. I look forward to ebaying Wip3out and the original before they become extortionate.
