I imagine that one day there will be a movie about the production woes and rumours of the Uncharted movie, but before that we’re still expecting a film based on Naughty Dog’s franchise to release at some point. The Uncharted movie production has been going on for years with writers and directors changing every so often, along with rumours of Mark Wahlberg taking on the role of Nathan Drake. No direction of former writers has panned out, and Wahlberg is not playing Nathan Drake. At least that’s the case for now.
Five months ago Joe Carnahan was brought on board to write the Uncharted movie script, and it appears he has got further than those before him. He shared an image on Instagram showing a completed draft of the movie’s script, and captioned the photo with the statement, “Done and Dusted. Now the REAL work begins. If there’s a more monstrously cool action script in Hollywood right now, I wanna read it, ‘cuz this thing is a BEAST.”
The director Shawn Levy has been tied to the Uncharted movie, and now we need some actors to join it to go from paper to big screen.

They’re getting there very slowly but they’ll get it made eventually.

We as gamers don’t need this. The movie world doesn’t need another Indiana Jones knock-off…
