A PC version of Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom has been officially announced by Namco Bandai. Previously, the JRPG sequel had only be confirmed for PlayStation 4. The publisher didn’t say whether the two would launch on the same day though both will arrive some time in 2017.
Some may raise an eyebrow but it’s a smart move on Namco Bandai’s part and aligns with their current strategy of porting console franchises to the PC. It’s something they’ve been doing for a short while now, Tales of Berseria having released on PC this morning – a day ahead of its console counterparts.
Although set in the same universe, Revenant Kingdom doesn’t look as though it’ll be a direct sequel. There’s no Oliver or Drippy for a start, and the combat looks to be much more action focused compared to the original’s hybrid battle system.
Still, it’s one of our most anticipated roleplaying games of the year and we can’t wait to hear/see more!
