In unsurprising news the Resident Evil movie franchise is to continue past the The Final Chapter, the sixth and most recent film. The series has been a huge money-spinner for Constantin Film with the latest movie taking $312 million box office vs a budget of just $40 million.
However, the new series will be a reboot so Milla Jovovich’s Alice is unlikely to star but could pop up for a cameo. Paul W.S. Anderson, writer and director of the majority of the first six films and husband to Milla, will have his hands busy making the Monster Hunter movie so his involvement is also in question.
Of course that could be great for the series, I do love the films but they are silly popcorn fluff with more in common with the Resident Evil 6 game than the original game. With Resident Evil 7 going back to it’s horror roots, maybe the movies will follow suit.
Deadline report that there will be six movies in the rebooted franchise.

In the evil dimension (where Piers Morgan runs everything) I’m guessing that TheSickWaxes.com are reporting that ‘All six Resident Evil films are being remade, film studios laugh their way to the bank as imagination dries up!’. However, I also like the films we’ve had so far, definitely popcorn fluff but really enjoyable with great action, so these new ones will probably be better than the Uncharted film.

It’s also been constantly in decline and utter shite. Wait, Anderson is doing a Monster Hunter film? Helloooo mary sue that has to be the main focus at the expense of everything else.
If and i bloody hope this is the case, if the 6 films are all CGI and done by Capcom(There is one due out later this year and will feature, Leon,Rebecca and Chris in a mansion), that will be a damn good sign and hopefully, all 6 films will be decent to excellent. Unlike…. Resident Evil:Look at Alice, she is perfect. So perfect in fact that you won’t even care about the other characters and she will save the day. Fuck Alice. Yes, I hate that character a lot. I hate the films(apart from 1 and 2). They can just bleeeugh!
