Check Out Pokken Tournament DX’s New Features In These Japanese Trailers

Two new trailers have popped up for Pokken Tournament DX, as Nintendo and Bandai Namco bring one of the hidden gems from the Wii U to the Nintendo Switch. The DX at the end of the title shows that this is more than just a straightforward port, and these trailers look to highlight what’s new about the game as it makes the leap with a release on 22nd September.

Naturally, you can play in handheld, tabletop and TV mode on Switch, but there’s more to it than that. Decidueye joins the roster for fighters, as well as Croagunk, Empoleon, Darkrai and Scizor, which were previously only in the arcade game, while Litten and Popplio debut as support Pokémon. There’s new Team Battle and Group Match modes to indulge in, as well as daily challenges.

Admittedly, if you’re not a seasoned Japanese speaker, you might struggle to keep track of all but the words borrowed from English and have to simply admire the pretty moving pictures, but you can still get the gist as they run through the new features.
