Alongside the Harry Potter: Wizards Unite announcement from last night, Warner Bros. also announced an overarching new Portkey Games label that forthcoming Harry Potter games will be published under. Perhaps the best news from all of this is that it’s not just mobile oriented games, but console games as well.

David Haddad, President of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, said, “With Portkey Games, we are thrilled to answer the fans’ requests for more games inspired by J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World. We are working with talented creators to build games that focus on player-generated stories, which will live alongside the magical universe created by J.K. Rowling.”
It really feels that the Harry Potter world is building up once more, after last year’s Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them film, The Cursed Child at theatres and efforts to expand the series beyond Harry Potter’s time at Hogwarts.
There’s not much more to the announcement, but expect to see more from this soon.
