Everyone Can Now Join The Sea Of Thieves Closed Alpha

Sea of Thieves is one of just a handful of first party games announced for Xbox One and Windows 10 next year, but it’s actually been in closed alpha testing since December last year, gradually growing in size and adapting to player feedback in that time. As Rare reach the last few stages of alpha testing, they’re opening the floodgates to anyone and everyone that wants to try it out.

Anyone that applied before Friday 1st December will be admitted, but it’s not a straight up download, you will still need to go through the Insider sign up surveyor have already done so. You can find it here: www.seaofthieves.com/insider

There are still a handful of restrictions, such as needing to be 18 years of age, have an Xbox Live account, and you will have to agree to an NDA that prevents you from disclosing details of the game to others. Everything’s outlined in their FAQ, but they’re not exactly onerous restrictions.

Will you be taking to the high seas next month, then?
