Rainbow Six Siege To Last “Ten Years”, New Outbreak Footage Released

2018 Rainbow Six Invitational happened over the weekend with Rainbow Six Siege brand director Alexandre Remy mapping out the future for the game. They are aiming to have 100 operators by the end of the game’s life, with eight of them released this year. The team are also focused entirely on the current game.

“We are saying extremely loudly here – there is no sequel planned. We will be here for the next 10 years. So expect more Rainbow Six in your life for quite some time,” he stated.

Footage of Rainbow Six Siege’s month-long Outbreak event was also shown with many comparing it to the classic Left 4 Dead. The event will also bring new loot boxes but they will only contain cosmetic items.

“I feel like the loot boxes act like the gift shop after the rollercoaster,” said Remy. “I am feeling very empathetic towards players upset with this, but at the same time I do not feel we are cheating anyone, I don’t think we are being greedy whatsoever.”

  1. Such a shame they never bothered with the single player to this. R6 Patriots was my most anticipated game for years!

  2. I felt a bit cheated when this game came out.
I liked previous R6 games and was hoping for much the same.

So they are they are sticking with the game for 10 years. So they will be remastered to PS5 then lol.
