We’ve known for quite some time that IO Interactive were busying themselves with a new game/season of Hitman, and after steadying their newly independent ship with a publishing partnership with Warner Bros., they’ve now announced Hitman 2, set for release on PS4, Xbox One and PC on 13th November. It’s a direct sequel to the 2016 game, but it’s no longer episodic.
The featured level in this trailer is a glamorous sports car race in Miami, which IO say is their most ambitious sandbox yet with some of the largest crowds yet. It will continue the story from the last game, hunting for the Shadow Client and trying to take down the militia that he’s built up.
Just because the game is no longer episodic, doesn’t meant that IO are backing away from the live game style of the last game, and so you can expect to see Elusive Targets, Escalations, Contract Mode, and more.
Hitman 2 also introduces a standalone co-op mode called Sniper Assassin, though this can be played solo as well. Sniper Assassin is available to play now, if you’re willing to pre-order one of the game’s various editions. Those pre-ordering the Gold or Collector’s editions will get to play the game from 9th November, four days early.

Probably won’t be an early adopter with this. I didn’t like the last one as much as Absolution.
