Generation Zero is a brand new IP from Avalanche Studios, the developer behind games like Just Cause 3 and the upcoming Rage 2. Â Dropping players into a science fiction twist on 1989Â Sweden, you can either go it alone or team up in four player co-op to take on a robotic invasion force.
It looks really rather interesting, with an open world and a neat blend of sci-fi, guerrilla warfare and robot foes. It’s coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC in 2019. It also seems that Avalanche themselves are going it alone, with simply the developer and their in house game engine mentioned without an associated publisher.

The subtitle got me interested but the trailer doesn’t look as polished as it could and game title is making the arm on my inspiration-ripoff meter wobble.
