Netflix has commissioned a version of Minecraft: Story Mode for it’s platform. Whilst it’s not a game it is described as “a 5-episode interactive narrative series”, so there will be some sort of interaction with the story, “We don’t have any plans to get into gaming,” adds a spokesperson for the streaming giant.
However, the bigger news and one that Netflix probably shouldn’t have commented on just yet, is that Telltale are working on a project based on the hit TV show Stranger Things. Techradar published a rumour that the game was in the works and Netflix posted a clarification.
The Stranger Things project is being published by Telltale at a later date, not on the Netflix service. It’s part of our marketing and title promotion efforts.
We should not that they don’t specifically say this is a game, and it is a promotional item so it may be something quite short.
UPDATE: “We’re thrilled to confirm that Telltale is developing a game based on Stranger Things that we’ll publish to consoles and computers at a later date,” tweet Telltale

Didn’t Netflix also recently announce other Stranger Things stuff? Some sort of prequel novel. So an actual proper game wouldn’t really be a surprise. It’s obviously been a huge success for Netflix.

Ah, the latest from Telltale on Twitter is “Separately, we’re thrilled to confirm that Telltale is developing a game based on Stranger Things that we’ll publish to consoles and computers at a later date”

It’s hardly surprising that Telltale are making a game of it. I mean, stranger things have happened.
