Chasm was originally meant to arrive in 2014 so you could say it’s a little bit late when it finally arrives on July 31st on PC, PlayStation 4, and – hurrah – PlayStation Vita. We last saw it at Sony’s PlayStation Experience last year and it looks rather good, promising platforming, hack and slash battling, and some RPG elements.
The game is procedurally generated but rather than completely random levels your story will find traversing through larger areas that have been put together in a unique formation. “Though the overall story is the same for all players, your hero’s journey will be unique: each of the rooms has been hand-designed, and behind the scenes Chasm stitches these rooms together into a one-of-a-kind world map that will be your own,” say developers Bit Kid.
