Rebellion To Open A New $100M Film Studio

Rebellion, who have their fingers in all sorts of pies not just video games, have bought an old printworks in Oxford, UK, and will be transforming it in to a $100m film studio.

It will become home to the new Judge Dread television series, Mega-City One, and also the forthcoming Rogue Trooper film, helmed by Duncan Jones. Both of those are based on 2000AD characters, which are also owned by Rebellion, but the studio will be available to rent to the UK’s growing production sector.

The studio is actually Rebellion’s second, they already have a 3-stage studio which is home to Europe’s largest performance capture stage and Rebellion’s world-renowned motion-capture company Audiomotion.
