Once upon a time, the day after Christmas was when the rich and well to do in the UK would give boxes of Christmas gifts and money to their tradesmen and servants. It’s where ‘Boxing Day’ got its name and became an extra day off work for many, even if this tradition has long since passed.
This Boxing Day, Sony have decided to open up their box and reveal the first selection of games to appear on PlayStation Plus in 2019, all of which is going live on Tuesday 1st January. As usual there’s two games each for PS4, PS3 and PS Vita, with the headliners being Steep and Portal Knights on PS4.
- Steep (PS4)
- Portal Knights (PS4)
- Zone of the Enders HD Collection (PS3)
- Amplitude (PS3)
- Fallen Legion: Flames of Rebellion (PS Vita & PS4)
- Super Mutant Alien Assault (PS Vita)
Between now and then, don’t forget to grab December’s games, which will conveniently stop being available as 2018 comes to an end. Those are:
- SOMA (PS4)
- Onrush (PS4)
- Steredenn (PS3)
- Steins;Gate (PS3)
- Iconoclasts (PS Vita & PS4)
- Papers, Please (PS Vita)

Been wanting to play Steep since it released but never got round to buying it, so more than pleased with that.

Looks like a good month.
Which is a shame, as I was hoping for a poor month because christmas just came along and took a massive shit on my backlog.

This is the best euphemism for presents I have ever seen.

I’ll probably give the snowboarding in Steep a go.

C’mon Sony, you’re going to have to work a bit harder than that if you want me to subscribe to PlayStation Plus again.

Poor start for the new year. Would’ve expected a lot better over Xmas.
Xbox by comparison is constantly far better. Starting to have more and more compelling reasons to jump format!

Without wanting to get too much into a which service is better, the games with gold offerings are always ancient games. Dec was Qube 2, Race for the Sun and Mercenaries
