The hit rhythm dungeon crawler Crypt of the NecroDancer is getting a thoroughly unexpected spin-off on Nintendo Switch this spring. Cadence of Hyrule blends NecroDancer’s pulsing gameplay with the look, sound and feel The Legend of Zelda series.
Playing as Cadence, Link or Princess Zelda, you tackle randomly generated overworld and dungeons, moving, attacking and defending in time with the remixed Legend of Zelda soundtrack. You’ll have plenty of familiar enemies to face, items to use, as well as spells and weapons from Crypt of the NecroDancer.
It’s a surprising combination, to be sure, but a rather welcome looking one!
