World of Warcraft Classic is letting players go back to beginning on August 27th

World of Warcraft is without a doubt the leader when it comes to MMORPGs. For 15 years Blizzard’s huge game as garnered millions of fans with expansion after expansion adding to the lore of the realm as well as the content. However, you never quite forget the first time and nostalgia is which is why back in 2017 World of Warcraft Classic got revealed. This Classic version rolls back the game to update 1.12.0. the Drums of War update which originally rolled out August 22nd 2006, though with much more polished and it’ll be available on August 27th.

World of Warcraft Classic will be available to all subscribers which will allow people to once again, or for the first time, take part in the 40 player raid on Molten Core. Maybe Classic will generate a new Leeroy Jenkins moment, or have a lot of people trying to be recreating it. Subscribers also have the chance to take part in the closed beta of World of Warcraft Classic which kicks off tomorrow.


If you really want to show your love for World of Warcraft Classic a Collector’s Edition will be releasing on October 6th and it’ll cost £89.99. It’ll include:

  • 30 day subscription
  • 10 inch statue of Ragnaros the Firelord
  • Map of Azeroth mousepad
  • Art prints of Azeroth
  • Alabaster Stormtalon, and Alabaster Thunderwing mounts
  • Onyxia, Broodmother of the Black Dragonflight pin
