Wolfenstein: Youngblood’s latest gameplay trailer is full of Nazis getting destroyed

Nazis, what a bunch of losers. Wolfenstein may depict a world in which the Nazis won but the games are all about destroying them and breaking their hold on society. It’s a series that doesn’t shy away from gratuitous violence against Nazis so it shouldn’t surprise you that the latest gameplay footage has quite a bit of that in its short run time, including one head exploding. If you don’t like over the top gore then you may not want to click play below, but everyone else please enjoy.

The trailer itself is to confirm that RTX tech will be available in Wolfenstein: Youngblood, with the tech itself including NVIDIA’s adaptive shading and real-time ray tracing. There’s also a promotion currently running where a purchase of a GeForce RTX 20 Series graphics card, desktop, or laptop will net Wolfenstein: Youngblood at no extra cost. Wolfenstein; Youngblood itself moves the story to 1980’s Paris where BJ Blazkowickz is missing in action so his twin daughters, Jess and Soph, have taken up the family mantle of Nazi-hunting in a bid to find their father. The game’s executive producer Jerk Gustaffson has stated that some of the level designs have taken inspiration from the Dishonored series, which had some great layouts allowing for multiple approaches.

Wolfenstein: Youngblood is releasing on PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Switch on July 26th. However, Switch buyers should be aware that the physical release will actually just contain a digital code in the box and no cartridge.
