Black Desert updated on PS4 with two new classes and new region

The MMO Black Desert was recently released on PS4 following in the footsteps on the Xbox One and PC releases of the game. It seems Pearl Abyss are keen to keep the new audience playing as today a second update was released for the PS4 version which adds the two new classes of Ninja and Lahn as well as the region of Valencia and a new boss.

Going by the footage in the trailer it appears the Lahn class is a fast moving one which can deal lots of damage to groups of enemies using chained weapons. Meanwhile, the Ninja has the abilities to teleport quickly around enemies and strike from behind while also taking down groups. Along with this update there is the new Awakened state which permanently boosts character combat skills, and it is available to all classes. However, you have to reach level 56 and complete a quest given by the Black Spirit before getting the Awakened power.

PS4 players now also have a new region to travel in and that is Valencia, which a desert biome adding sandstorms and new enemy types. The laws are also different in Valencia. If a player kills another player they will be marked as villains regardless of karma and can be hunted by other players. Once taken out these villains will wake up in a prison with debuffs, and can either serve their time or look for a way to escape.  Escaping back into Valencia could lead to the new world boss Kutum though, so be prepared.

Other content includes:

Gear and item enhancements: Gear cleansing, accessory melting and new gear enhancement levels have been added due to player request.
New items: The kingdom of Valencia introduces region-specific items, more powerful potions, and Dim Magical Armor exchanges.

Black Desert currently costs £24.99 on PSN.
