Kuju and Curve Digital has confirmed the release dates for Narcos: Rise of the Cartels, the official tie-in to the Netflix series. PC and PS4 players will be able to get the game on November 19th, Switch owners will have the chance to play from November 21st, and Xbox One owners will have to wait slightly longer as the game releases on November 22nd for Microsoft’s platform. These releases will be digital, though a physical release is expected at a later date.
Narcos: Rise of the Cartels is set during the first season of the Netflix show and features two campaigns. The first is from the point of view of the Medellin Cartel while the other campaign has players take on the role of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). One side is all about expanding the cartel’s reach while the other wants to make sure it shrinks and stops.
Narcos: Rise of the Cartels is a tactical, turn-based title. I guess think XCOM but with drugs instead of aliens. Players will be able to take control of characters at certain moments to get involved with combat directly as well.
