SnowRunner’s latest trailer shows the scope of the wilderness, out in April

A new trailer for Saber Interactive’s MudRunner sequel SnowRunner has been released with the focus being on the big, wide world you’ll be able to drive around. Players will have three regions to explore with those being in Russia and the USA. Those regions include Alaska, Taymyr, and Michigan with each having various terrain types including snowy vistas, frozen lakes, and fast-flowing water. There are many more hazards and challenges in each so you’ll need the right vehicles to tackle them.

Players will be able to unlock portions of the map through watchtowers and as exploration occurs new vehicle gear will be made available to tackle the tougher terrain. SnowRunner will also support up to four-player multiplayer. SnowRunner’s release date has been confirmed as April 28th and it will be released on PS4, Xbox One, and PC via Epic Games Store.

In our review for the prequel Spintires: Mudrunners Dom wrote:

Spintires: MudRunner is utterly unique, and as a driving simulator of a niche field it is basically unparalleled. However, the difficulty level and lack of pace are likely going to make it a very niche game, while the camera is an extra challenge in itself. Still, there’s grit, determination, freedom and reward to be found here for those ready to wade in.
