Rainbow Six: Siege’s The Grand Larceny event is all about the loot, live now

Ubisoft has started a new limited time event for Rainbow Six: Siege which is called The Grand Larceny, running until May 19th, and as you can guess from the name this event is all about fortunes. The event is taking place on the Hereford map and you may notice a bit of a change in style for the Operators. Not all Operators are playable in The Grand Larceny due to balance issues, but the ones that are will be equipped with shotguns for which skins can be earned through the event or got through the Roaring Riches bundle.

In this event the rules have changed. Players do not need to worry about hostages, no areas to secure, and no bombs that need to be found and diffused. Preparation phases and attacker drones have been removed too. In The Grand Larceny there are safeboxes dotted around the map and everyone will know where they are from the start. Attackers have to loot some of these safeboxes or kill all defenders to win, while the defenders will have to stop the safeboxes from getting looted or take out all the attackers to claim victory.

There are 31 customisation items to get for  Amaru, Fuze, Gridlock, Hibana, Maverick, Echo, Maestro, Kaid, Wamai and Warden. There is the Grand Larceny pack which can be attained through completing event challenges or for 300 R6 Credits or 12500 Renown. The Roaring Riches Bundle contains the Deco Artistry signature weapon skin and the Crafted Six charm, and that can be bought with the currency of your choice according to Ubisoft.

If you are subscribed to PS Now you can get in on the action as Rainbow Six: Siege has joined the streaming service’s line up, along with The Evil Within 2 and The Farm 51’s “puzzler, shooter, psychological thriller,” Get Even.
