Catch up on everything from Gamescom 2020’s Opening Night Live

The Geoff Keighley train steamed in to host Gamescom 2020’s Opening Night Live yesterday, bringing with it 38 new trailers, a whole host of game premieres and more than a reminders of what was coming up next – Yes, Geoff… we definitely knew that Fall Guys: Season 2 was going to be revealed.

It was a lot to keep track of, and I’m sure that, even if you tuned in, there will have been some times where you mentally tuned out or glossed over an announcement. So here’s a catch up of all the big announcements and reveals from Gamescom 2020 Opening Night Live.

There was also plenty of stuff that we simply couldn’t write up at the time, that we’re going to highlight in this round-up:

James McAvoy, Daisy Ridley, and Willem Dafoe join the cast for Twelve Minutes.

Teen-Wolf is coming to Mortal Kombat 11.

World of Warcraft: Shadowlands is coming out on 27th October.

Bridge Constructor: The Walking Dead is the strangest cross-over game we’ve seen in ages. It’s coming to PlayStation 5 Xbox Series X, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC, iOS, and Android later this year.

Teardown is a heist game where you can destroy anything and everything.

Strategy game Warhammer: Age of Sigmar PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch in 2021.

Sam & Max enter a new dimension with Sam & Max: This Time It’s Virtual, a VR caper coming in 2021.

Age of Empires III Definitive Edition announced, and it’s coming out on 15th October.
