GSC Game World has released the first in engine footage of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2, with this footage showing a view of the setting through the game’s protagonist. That protagonist’s name is Skif. In this brief footage you see the destroyed world and it still falling apart. The trees continue to fall, and as Skif makes his way through a ruined building the world becomes more intense and things begin flying. After that the footage cuts out. In July, it was confirmed that S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 would be coming to PC and would also be a console launch exclusive on the Xbox Series X/S. The game has been in and out of development for a while, with rumours going back to 2012 that Bethesda was helping in developing a new entry in the series. That obviously never panned out.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 is expected to release at some point in 2021.
