The critically acclaimed cyberpunk FPS slasher Ghostrunner will be graced with a new Metal OX cosmetic DLC pack tomorrow, 14th April 2020. There will also be a free update for all players that adds two new game modes and a new photo mode on all platforms.
We reviewed the PC version back in October 2020 scoring the title an impressive 9/10. Here’s what Thomas had to say:
Ghostrunner answers the age old question of “What if the combat was actually good in Mirror’s Edge?” It perfectly pairs parkour style free-running with frantic, but precise combat to create movie-like action sequences. This is all backed up by a fun narrative that drives the gameplay forward at a blistering pace. Ghostrunner is honestly a must-have for PC players and the most fun I’ve had reviewing a game this year.
The game is already out on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, and with a free PS5 and Xbox Series X|S upgrade scheduled to launch in autumn and an Amazon Luna port also on the cards. There will be two more paid DLC drops later this year but the contents of those has not been revealed. The game will also get yet another new game mode during the summer and a couple of Vanity DLC packs so you can dress up the hero.
Ghostrunner’s official description reads:
