Digital Bros has confirmed that a sequel to Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is in production, though a release date for the game is yet to be set. The company also confirmed that Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night has sold over a million copies and has generated revenue of $30.2 million. Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night was a concept created by Koji Igarashi, the former producer of the Castlevania series hence the similarities between the series.
Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night got its funding through Kickstarter where it held the record of most amount of money pledged for a video game on the fundraising platform back in 2015, with it’s final pledge amount standing at $5,545,991 .
