Developer Stray Bombay has announced a new four player cooperative shooter called The Anacrusis, which has been confirmed for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. It has also been confirmed that The Anacrusis will be an Xbox Game Pass title too. In the reveal trailer you can see how the gameplay will be unfolding. In The Anacrusis large hordes of aliens will rush the players from all areas of the ship, so players will need to be aware of the surroundings at all times. There are different types of aliens from the basic swarming aliens to larger creatures such as the Brute.
The first season of The Anacrusis will put players in the shoes of Nessa, Guion, Liu, and Lance, four characters that are forced into the fight as they are there when the aliens invade. As players fight through the ship they will be able to pick up new perks, which include boost defences or stacking upgrades to make weapons more powerful. Different weapons and tools will also help including the Respawner which allows you to respawn teammates, and as well as shield grenades. The Anacrusis will have mod support and when it launches there will be some mods already available from the community. The game will also support cross play between Xbox and PC. Matchmaking will group you with other players based on your playstyle too. Each run will be different as placements of items and enemies will change through each playthrough.
