The PlayStation Plus free games for September 2021 are Hitman 2 and Predator: Hunting Grounds for PlayStation 4, and Overcooked! All You Can Eat as the PS5 bonus game.
Overcooked! All You Can Eat brings Overcooked, it’s sequel, plus all the DLC and and a PS5 upgrade. When the first game launched we scored it 8/10. “Crafting a game that feels like a true co-operative experience is something studios continue to struggle with even today,” said Jim. “For a dev duo like Ghost Town Games to come along and nail it at their first attempt is a remarkable feat to say the least.”
The sequel launched in 2018 and once again Jim gave it 8/10 in our review. “Overcooked 2 may be short on surprises, but that’s totally fine,” commented our reviewer. “It expands and refines exactly what we loved about the original, with plenty of fun and challenging stages to be played again and again, whether alone, with friends, or online.”
“You couldn’t ask much more from this indie sequel: a filling follow-up that, while familiar, will have fans reaching for their aprons on launch day,” he concluded.
Overcooked! All You Can Eat runs at 4K 60fps and there’s a new assist mode to try and make the game a mite more accessible. It also includes cross-play with those on PC, Xbox and Switch.
Predator: Hunting Grounds only scored 6/10 in our review at launch but has had many patches and tweaks since then. Hitman 2 is getting on a bit and has been superseded by Hitman 3 but scored a respectable 8/10 in our review.

There’s also an offer on EA Play giving a month for just 79p, for new and returning customers. Although if you’re new, I’m sure there’s a free month trial anyway, so why would you pay 79p?
Ideal if you want to try out the latest football game, I guess. Or any of the big bunch of racing games they recently added. Just remember to turn off the auto-renew thing, otherwise it’s £4 a month. (Or just pay the £20 and get a year, I guess)
