GT7 World Series Manufacturers Cup Test Season 2 tracks, races & cars revealed

Gran Turismo GT7 Manufacturers Cup Header

With Test Season 1 of both the Gran Turismo 7 World Series Nations Cup and Manufacturers Cup now concluded, Polyphony Digital has revealed Test Season 2 of both. Running from 31st March – 18th April 2022, the Manufacturers Cup Test Season 2 has nine rounds of high intensity racing to take part in.

How does the GTWS Manufacturers Cup Test Season 2 work?

Season 2 features nine rounds of racing, but points from your just your best three rounds will counting toward your final score and placement at the end of the season. Each round takes place on a specific day between 31st March and 19th April, alternating days with the Nations Cup – get the details for the Nations Cup Test Season 2 here. Each day then has five scheduled race times that you can take part in. You can race in all five, if you want, but only the last race that you enter will count for your score.

Before you get started, though, you will be required to pick and sign a ‘Manufacturer Affiliation Contract’ in-game before entering. This will grant you a free Gr.4 and Gr.3 car from your chosen manufacturer. It’s a loan vehicle though, so if you change allegiance for later seasons, you’ll be handing that car back.

The race schedule is determined by the region you’re playing in, running through the local late afternoon and into the evening, so you’re best off checking in-game to see what times apply to you. That’s especially true with multiple time zones and daylight savings in effect. Here’s the race schedule for the Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region, with times provided in UTC (also known as GMT).

GTWS Manufacturers Cup Race Schedule and Entry Slots (EMEA Region)

  • Round 1-3: 15:00, 16:00, 17:00, 18:00, 19:00 UTC (5 races in total.)
  • Round 4-6: 16:00, 17:00, 18:00, 19:00, 20:00 UTC (5 races in total.)
  • Round 7-9: 17:00, 18:00, 19:00, 20:00, 21:00 UTC (5 races in total.)

When it comes time to race, you’ll be grouped together with drivers of a similar skill level. The GTWS has a league format that divides players into three divisions based on their Driver Rating, and that’s in effect with GT1 for A rank, GT2 for B rank and GT3 for C rank and lower. At the given time, you’ll then join a matchmade lobby with a live qualifying session followed by a race. You can generally expect this to take around 30 minutes to complete.
