A new trailer for A Plague Tale: Requiem has been released during the Xbox & Bethesda showcase, giving us a look at a bunch of new gameplay and delving into some of the game’s story and new locations. A Plague Tale: Requiem is still coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC in 2022, but there’s no firm date just yet. It’ll also be day one on Xbox Game Pass.
The game naturally follows on from the story of A Plague Tale: Innocence, with Amicia and Hugo resuming their journey through medieval France. There’s more rats, there’s gorgeous coastlines, boat journeys, and continuing calamities for them to survive, though Amicia seems to have to go it alone a little bit more often than before.
While no release date has been announced, the trailer reaffirms that the game is targeting a 2022 release. The game was announced after quite a few rumours at the Microsoft and Bethesda showcase at E3 2021.
In our review of A Plague Tale: Innocence Tuffcub wrote:
A Plague Tale: Innocence proves that feisty young women are the new heroes of single player narrative adventures, and Amicia can proudly stand alongside Aloy and Senua. Asobo Studios have knocked it out of the park with a compelling story, superb graphics, and excellent music. Loved it.
