“While I am working on my new games, today I am here to share some other news! I am pleased to announce that my podcast program will be available exclusively on Spotify in September!” said Kojima during the Gamescom live stream. “We will be providing both English and Japanese versions of the show with simultaneous interpretation, as this is a podcast for fans not only in Japan but all over the world.”

If delving in to the brain of Kojima doesn’t get you excited then you may be super chuffed to hear that Geoff Keighley will be appearing on the podcast in a regular segment featuring video games news.

As for games, we know Kojima Productions is working with Xbox Game Studios on a brand new game, and it’s going to be a console exclusive to Xbox.

He said that it’s, “a completely new game that no one has ever experienced or seen before. I’ve waited very long for the day when I could finally start to create it.” If that wasn’t enough he followed up by saying, “With Microsoft’s cutting edge cloud technology and the change in the industry’s trend it has now become possible to challenge myself to make this never-before-seen concept.”

It may be worth tempering your expectations though as it may not be along any time soon. Kojima finished up his announcement by saying, “It may take some time, but I’m looking forward to teaming up the Xbox Game Studios, and hope to bring you some exciting news in the future!”
