Sony has announced the three games that will be available to PS Plus Essential, Extra, and Premium members from Tuesday October 4th. The three games are Hot Wheels Unleashed for PS4 and PS5, Injustice 2 for PS4, and Superhot for PS4. All three will be available to add to game libraries until October 31st.

Hot Wheels Unleashed is the most recent game of the group having released in 2021. In our review for it, Dom said, “Hot Wheels Unleashed puts the brand to perfect use, marrying bright and bold toy car racing with powerful track creation.”
Meanwhile, fighting game fans should look forward to Injustice 2, which sees the heroes and villains of the DC Universe continue to battle it out. In our review for Injustice 2, I wrote, “Injustice 2 has built upon the original in every way and then added a whole host of content on top, setting a new standard for fighting games. The gear system alone adds a ton of depth allowing players to experiment with different builds for characters, and that keeps you coming back to the Multiverse or playing online. Injustice 2 has so much content to play around with, and if you enjoy fighting games or the DC Universe in general then this comes highly recommended.”
Superhot has made a huge impact when it comes to evolving action titles with its stop start action. In our Superhot review, Jim wrote, “A crafty base concept and careful execution make Superhot one of the most intriguing games to come from the recent class of indie-developed shooters. Its bizarre setting and puzzle-like approach are refreshingly original and hopefully something the team will now expand upon following Superhot’s early success.”
Can I still download the September 2022 PlayStation Plus Games?
You betcha! The PlayStation Plus games for September includes Need for Speed Hear, Granblue Fantasy: Versus, and the indie title of TOEM. You have right up until the new games go live next week to grab them.
What’s with the whole PlayStation Plus relaunch?
The PlayStation Plus relaunch has now rolled out around the world, transforming the PS Plus we once knew into a three tiered subscription service that bundles in and expands what was once PlayStation Now. The classic PS Plus is now called PS Plus Essential, giving access to online multiplayer gaming, cloud save backups, exclusive offers and at least 2 free monthly games. PS Plus Extra then adds a catalogue of PS4 and PS5 games into the mix, while PS Plus Deluxe and Premium (depending on your region) adds older PS2, PS1 and PSP game emulation, and game streaming for PS3 and other titles.
