There’s a busy weekend ahead of staring at gameplay capture and trying to figure out what’s different and improved. My very first impression going from PS5 to PS5 Pro has been that Insomniac are wizards at blending art direction and graphics to get the most out of a console.
Has anyone else got a PS5 Pro in the house?

At the tail end of the week, we finally got our hands on with a PS5 Pro, and started down the path of a review and game comparisons with a PS5 Pro unboxing (with a very special guest star).
I also got to briefly go hands on with the top-down tactical shooter Project ARC, a smaller experiment from PUBG Studios.
Reuben got to sit down and chat about Ys and Trails Through Daybreak with Nihon Falcom’s Toshihiro Kondo.
Rounding things out as always, What We Played featured Slitterhead, Metro Awakening and PS5 Pro in general.

I only played some Timesplitters 2 last week (went through half the game in a single session) but i’ve been obsessed with the Cure’s new album!

You’re not the only one. Almost 2 years since we first heard some of those songs, 16 years since the last album, and the best thing they’ve done in the 35 years since Disintegration. Should have ended up being disappointing, hearing them live in 2022 left me optimistic, and it ended being even better. And if Endsong is the last thing they ever release, I don’t mind.
A year with new albums from The Cure, The The and Nick Cave and James? And I get to see 3 of them live?
Oh, and I went mad and treated myself to a Quest 3 for my birthday.

I was apprehensive about it, was fearing it would be a total dirge but It’s a stunning album – got the deluxe cd set so have it on constantly in the car and the BD is in my PS5. Sounds like you got to see some great live acts – i’d love to see The The live! As it is, i saw Pixies last month and going to Peter Hook this week in Belfast. Saw Cure live 3 times in last 5 years but i’d go again!
