Another bank holiday is upon us, and while it’s the last one for a few months, it’s set to be a scorcher in the UK. Time to find out where you stashed the sun screen if you’re heading out, remember to stay hydrated, get the fans going and operate a strict window opening/closing and blinds policy to try to keep your home cool.
Also, play games and have a barbecue.

Alongside this, Steve gave some thoughts on the Early Access release of Deadhaus Sonata, which is a spiritual Blood Omen sequel, and Dom put a (fitness) ring on it – the Luna Smart Ring Gen 2.
It was far busier in the previews, though. I went hands on with Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, and had a great time revisiting one of the most popular AC titles with a fresh lick of paint, some revised gameplay, and just the right amount of 2010s AC jank.
I also went hands on with The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales, which has an unassuming title for a great feeling HD-2D Zelda-like, and dipped into the Boltgun 2 demo for Warhammer Skulls. Jason joined me on demo duty with Warhammer Survivors.
Dom was at Digital Dragons in Poland, and had some thoughts about this year’s event and its showcase of Polish game development. This also led to previews of Pit Panic and Mutter, with more to come.
Finishing up for the week, What We Played featured Forza Horizon 6, Lego Batman & Digital Dragons.
