Friday is here once again! I’ve been playing an array of things that I don’t think I’m allowed to tell you about, BUT, I can say that I’ve been playing Culdcept Begins, with my review pretty much ready to go. I’ve really enjoyed it, but then what’s not to like about Monopoly with cards and fantasy monsters? Besides that, I’ve continued to play even more Granblue Fantasy Relink: Endless Ragnarok.
Jason has played Pass the Fear and Tears of Metal. I’m also still mucking around in Convergence Mod Elden Ring, although I feel like I’m just doing it out of habit at this point. So, I’ve returned to FF7 Rebirth, where the Gold Saucer did indeed force me to do a bunch of mini-games. I do like the vibe of it still, but man, mini-games just don’t do anything for me.
Meanwhile, Aran has been playing Shards of Order for review. Seemingly, It’s a deck-building, turn-based RPG set in a very grim world. Miguel has been playing some random classics on his AYN Thor this week, including Fate/Unlimited Codes and Ape Escape 3. He’s also been dabbling with Red Dead Redemption 2, and diving into the new PvE mode in Marathon!
Jim has been juggling more remakes. First up, he told us, “It took a while for Metal Gear Solid Delta to click with me, though I’ve had a great time completing a non-lethal playthrough and discovering all the various bonus gear and easter eggs strewn throughout each part of the game. I can’t say I was as stealthy in my replay of Halo via the new Campaign Evolved remake. It definitely gave me the nostalgia hit I was looking for though I’ve always felt that first person shooters aren’t great for the remaster/remake treatment, unless the developers are aiming for a combat gameplay overhaul.”
Tuffcub has stretched the concept of What We Played, so it’s more What We Will Play, telling me “I have bought Dispatch as I found out it was by Critical Role but not played it yet. Does that count?”
Gareth has been playing The Planet Crafter and The Relic: First Guardian for review. Also Magicraft, a rogue lite where you put spells and effects on wands that all interact with each other. His verdict? “It’s excellent!” So that’s good then.
Finally, Tef has zipped across to Europe to preview 1666: Amsterdam. I bet you can’t guess where the event was held.
