A patch has been released for PSN/XBLA horror title, AMY. The full list of changes is as follows:
- The last checkpoint you reach is now saved (instead of going back to the beginning of the chapter)
- The syringes remain in the inventory after a checkpoint is reached
- Amy’s Powers remain available after a checkpoint is reached
- The Combat camera has been removed
- Most sequences can now be skipped
- The in-game brightness has been improved
Apparently Chapter 5 is now easier. The game didn’t score particularly well when it was released a few weeks ago, however if you did buy the game it might be worth going back and seeing how these changes have affected gameplay.

“Most sequences can now be skipped”
Not sure exactly what this means, but it sounds like you can effectively just skip through the game!! I suspect that this isn’t the case at all & they are probably just referring to cutscenes or something, but it isn’t the best wording! :D

I think they mean just cut scenes

Is it still a shockingly bad game? Thought so :)

A shockingly bad game WITH better in-game brightness though…consider that.

Oooo tempting ;)

This update forgot to introduce another needed bullet-point:
* No Longer Shite.

I would be interested in knowing if these changes are enough to make the game a more worthwhile purchase, although reading some comments above it might not be enough to save it.. :/
