Following comments from Sony’s own Michael Denny and a recent retailer listing, CVG have gone on the record to claim that a full reveal for Gran Turismo 6 is just “weeks away”.
The game was listed for pre-order on American site NewEgg just days ago, and Denny’s comments – whilst throwaway at the time – picked up traction quicker than a GTR off the starting block.
The website “understands that Sony is weeks away from revealing its next Gran Turismo title,” suggesting the Future-owned publication knows more than most.
We’ve fired off a NOS-powered email to SCEE.
The game is expected to be exclusive to the PS3, reasons for doing this are more obvious than you might think. That said, we’d kill for a Vita version, Sony.
Update: SCEE have declined to comment on the rumour.

I bet even the reveal will be delayed.

While it’ll be nice to have a confirmation that it’s underway I suspect a first reveal will be pretty sparse on facts.
Porcupine_I
i think avoiding to answer questions for a release date should have made up for about a year of development time, compared to GT5

That’ll be a suspected pre-order placed with *cough….To* within days of the possible rumoured reveal for me then. {:-‘)

Revealed in weeks, hits the shelves in 2023.

Given E3 is only weeks away, no surprise. Now a vita version, that would be a nice surprise.

This could also point to a pre-e3 event of sorts. I certainly hope so.

We will be gaming on PS5’s by the time this game gets released

Don’t want it on PS3, want it on the 4 or Vita. I know the installed base of 3 would generate more revenue though.

Same here.
Yes they would sell more copies on PS3 but it would also help sell a ship load of PS4s.

I expect GT5 to follow in Versus XIII’s footsteps.
Countless delays, followed by a long period of silence about the issue and then a surprise (to nobody) reveal for the PS4.

Release it for PS3 now, then use the money made to remake it even prettier and more fully featured for PS4. Fit a Vita version release in there somewhere too.
Unlikely I know, but one can dream.
