Get ready: the first screenshots have emerged [via] face up from Bethesda’s new Wolfenstein game, dubbed The New Order, so let’s go and take a look at them.
We can’t see a vanishing point but that’s definitely some chunky 3D on offer, as blue hues run wild amongst the tech, showing the game clearly isn’t set in an old Nazi castle.
They’re special, that’s for sure, and hopefully there’s no regret from the publisher. There’s a temptation to guess which format these are from, but we wouldn’t want any confusion.

These are blatantly 360 shots. PS3 games always have worse texture filtering, and the 360 has better anti-aliasing.

The setting looks interesting, it all looks a bit futuristic but then pic 5 shows a guard with a classic Stahlhelm helmet. I loved Return to Castle Wolfenstein so I’ll keep my eye on this.

Bitter sweet announcement for me. Basically disappointed there is no mention of id Software. It was their game.
